Can your tents be used on concrete?

Accepted Answer

For an additional fee, Sky High supplies water barrels that will keep your tent secure on concrete and hard surfaces. Please keep in mind that in order for the barrels to effectively secure your tent, your location must be able to provide a source of water also.

What are the different types of tents available for rent?

Accepted Answer

The types of tents available for rental typically include pole tents, which are supported by poles and are ideal for larger events; frame tents, which have no center poles and offer a clear span of space; canopy tents, perfect for small gatherings or daytime events; and clear top tents, which provide a unique aesthetic by allowing guests to view the sky.

How do I choose the right size tent for my event?

Accepted Answer

Choosing the right size tent depends on the number of guests, the type of event, and the space required for other elements like dance floors, tables, and chairs. A general rule is to allow 10-12 square feet of space per person for banquet-style seating and 15-20 square feet per person for cocktail-style events.

How much space will my tent require?

Accepted Answer

At least 5' of space surrounding the perimeter of the tent is required (Although 10' is recommended). We recommend that you perform all area measurements before the day of your event.

What do I do in the event of an emergency weather situation with the tent?

Accepted Answer

In the event of a hurricane, tornado, or thunderstorm, evacuate the vicinity of the tent and seek shelter immediately. Very strong winds can displace the tent, allowing it to topple or move freely. Call us immediately, however keep in mind we use very strong stakes and heavy water barrels to secure tents from the ground.

All tents and rental items are cleaned and sanitized as they are returned.

What product do you use to clean the tents?

Accepted Answer

We only use (ARA) American Rental Association approved chemicals to clean all tents after every use.

How high are drive-through tents?

Accepted Answer

We use 10ft poles for drive through tents.

What size tents do you recommend for drive through capability?

Accepted Answer

You can use a 10x10 tent if you just need a place for shade while cars pass by. Another option is to use a 20 x 20 tent or bigger with our 10ft poles.

How far in advance should I book a tent rental?

It's advisable to book a tent rental as soon as you have your event details finalized, especially during peak seasons like summer or early fall. For large events or specific tent types, booking several months in advance may be necessary.

What should I consider when selecting a site for tent installation?

Accepted Answer

Key factors include the size of the site, ground conditions (grass, concrete, asphalt), accessibility for setup crews, and any overhead obstructions like branches or power lines. Ensure the site is level and has adequate space for all event components.

Accepted Answer

Allow about 10 sq ft per guest for rows of seating, or 15 sq ft with tables. So a 20x40 tent (800 sq ft) holds ~80 standing / ~50 seated at tables; a 30x30 ~90 / ~60; a 40x80 ~320 / ~200. Tell us your guest count and we'll size it right.
